VIPs take volunteering to the next level by leveraging their skills and social networks into fundraising events on behalf of Only Make Believe.  It's a chance to create your own fun event, introduce your friends to OMB and help support a program that's meeting a growing need.  In hospitals all over the country, recreational budgets and activities are being threatened; OMB serves hospitals free-of-charge, bringing laughter and imagination to kids in care facilities.
Your fundraising efforts can make this happen!

  A few event ideas to help you gain VIP status:

  • Donate a class  Do you know somebody that teaches or do you attend yoga, pilates, a dance class, soccer, martial arts/self defense, a gym, volleyball etc….?  Ask the studio or gym to donate the space and the instructor to waive their fee.  Invite your friends and charge a fee to attend.   It’s a win-win!  
  • Cocktails for a Cause  Do you frequent a particular bar or club – do you know somebody that works at one? Coordinate with them to choose a night when the bar will donate a percentage of the profits or a“cover charge” to OMB.
  • Bake Sale Bake some treats and sell them to your coworkers. All the sweet profits go to OMB!
  • TV with Friends Host a viewing party for friends to watch the Superbowl, the Tony Awards, Mad Men or more!  Charge a small fee to attend and donate the proceeds to OMB.

They've been developed to make the process as efficient and straightforward as possible and also to ensure that you have fun while supporting OMB’s mission.
