Amy Fiore joins the OMB staff after serving for two years as the Director of Development and seven years as Managing Director for TADA! Youth Theater. Prior to that, Amy acted as the Director of External Affairs for Vineyard Theatre, Associate Director of Marketing and then Interim Director of Marketing for The Public Theater during their 50th Anniversary celebration, and as the Ticketing and Marketing Manager for MCC Theater. In addition to her work in non-profit theater administration, Amy is an adjunct professor of Managing the Arts and Marketing the Arts at New York University’s School of Continuing and Professional Studies and has been a guest lecturer at NYU, Baruch College and with the Arts & Business Council of New York, among others. She is the founder and director of Play Theater in Union County NJ and currently teaches classes and directs musicals with children there. Amy resides in Scotch Plains, NJ with her husband and 2 daughters.
Prior to OMB, Patrice worked in Operations at the Baryshnikov Arts Center. She has over 10 years of experience working in theatrical production in NYC, primarily with young people. Patrice holds a BA in Theater Arts, with a minor in Creative Writing, from Marymount Manhattan College.
Originally from North Carolina, Cary has held various positions in not-for-profit theatre along the east coast, most recently at New York Theatre Workshop. Outside of OMB, Cary works as a producer and theatrical consultant on projects in and out of New York. Cary holds a B.A. in English and Dramatic Art from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an M.F.A. in Theater Management and Producing from Columbia University's School of the Arts.
With over twelve years of experience as a director and curator of arts programming across New York City’s cultural sector, Jackie joined Only Make Believe in 2012. She holds a B.F.A. in performance and M.A. in Arts-Politics both from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.
Jaime joined Only Make Believe in June 2010. Prior to that Jaime worked for many years with Bear Stearns and was also busy writing and producing his first two music albums under “The Faceless Project”. He graduated with a music degree from Center for the Media Arts.
Channie joined the OMB staff as Program Consultant in 2009. She currently oversees OMB’s Buddy program and a variety of Individual Volunteer initiatives. Channie is a performing artist, educator and director. She has performed, taught and directed professionally within the United States and abroad. Channie has received several honors and acknowledgements for her audiobook narrations including Zora and Me and Claudette Colvin Twice Towards Justice. Channie has a M.A. in Applied Theatre from the School of Professional Studies-CUNY.
Tamela was a proud member of Only Make Believe’s NYC acting company for more than 3 years before moving to Washington D.C. in 2012. Tamela received her BFA from Howard University and completed professional acting program at William Esper Studio.
Program and Volunteer Manager
Chris joined Only Make Believe in 2012 as an actor. He has performed professionally around the D.C. area. Some theaters include: Ford’s Theatre, The Kennedy Center, Imagination Stage, and Round House Theatre. Chris is also an Arts Educator, Director, and Playwright. His works are often devised, and are specifically geared toward giving voice to Elementary-aged youth. Chris holds a degree in Theatre from the University of Maryland at College Park.
